Periodontal Reference
The services we provide complement the services you offer in your office. We work with you to control the progression of the periodontal condition of your patients.
Different reasons could initiate a referral to our office. For example:
- If after doing the Periodontal Screening and Recording (PSR), you determine that a patient might need periodontal care that you're not providing within your practice.
- A new patient presents with a complex oral condition. You refer the patient to me to determine his periodontal status/prognosis and use the exam report to help you finalize your global treatment plan.
- You would like to have a second opinion for the prognosis of a broken tooth.
An initial report informs you of the current periodontal condition of your patient, as well as suggested treatments. At your request, we can also call you to discuss the periodontal status and treatment alternatives.
In all cases, once the treatments are completed, patients are returned to you for their regular care and maintenance. For some patients, alternating recalls with our office may be suggested.
